The shaftless trommel screen is a high efficiency screening device that eliminates the traditional central shaft. This design effectively avoids the common “shaft entanglement” downtime often seen with materials such as plastic bags, wires, and cables (e.g., household waste, recyclable metals). Its key advantage is the elimination of material entanglement, leading to improved processing capacity, greater operational stability, reduced maintenance costs, and enhanced efficiency.

Highlights
Non-Clogging Screen
The system utilizes rolling conveyor principles, resulting in low friction, minimal wear, and reduced risk of screen clogging.
Vibration-Free and Low Noise
The drum bearing features a solid, through shaft design for stable operation, with no vibration and low noise.
Minimal Dust and Pollution
The drum body is fully sealed to effectively minimize dust and environmental impact.
Easy Maintenance and Long Service Life
The equipment is highly reliable, incorporating a reduction drive for efficient power transmission, lower belt power requirements, and reduced energy consumption, ensuring long-term operational efficiency and ease of maintenance.
working principle
Axle-Free Structure and Installation Method: The equipment abandons the traditional central shaft. The drum is driven by rollers or chains and is installed at an inclined angle on the frame.
Drive and Tumbling: The motor drives the drum to rotate. After the material enters, due to the drum’s inclined angle and rotational movement, the material is continuously lifted, tumbled, and dropped within the screen mesh.
Precise Classification: During this process, qualified materials smaller than the screen hole size (undersize material) pass through the mesh and are discharged from the bottom, while oversized, unqualified materials (oversize material) are discharged from the rear, following the slope of the drum. This completes the classification. The tumbling action also helps to automatically eject particles that are stuck in the screen holes, preventing blockages.
